OK so Im popping by to announce the last two talented ladies that will be joining our Design Team.

My name is Gina and I live in the Huon Valley, Tasmania with my partner Mark and two daughters Rhiannon and Jemma..I've been scrapping for about 4.5 years now and also love making cards and art journaling. I'd describe my style as a little messy with texture, layering and a bit of white space thrown in! I love trying out new techniques and will often use paint, inks, crayons, recycled items, stitching, hand journaling and stamps on my layouts.

I’m mum to Isobel (5), Beatrix (22 months) and Henry (6 months) and wife to an amazing husband, Nathan.

I started scrapping about 3 months after Isobel was born, so about 5 years ago. I like to scrap most days, but with 3 kids, that doesn’t happen most weeks. It’s my ME time, my sanity, my creative outlet. I never knew I was creative until I started scrapping, and I only now believe that I am quite good at what I do, well actually not that I am good at what I do, but that I like what I do. I scrap for me and for my family. I do do a lot of challenges, in fact I would say 95% of my scrapping is for challenges, but that’s because I love the actual challenge of doing challenge IYKWIM.

I am lucky enough to have a study that has a scrap table and scrap box kind of thing that Nath made for me in it. So I can leave my mess out and don’t have to pack things up. I’m a messy scrapper, on the page and on the desk! I hate to put stuff away! My style is quite GRUNGY. Lots of paint, lots of embellishments, buttons, ribbon, tags, flowers, clips.

Obviously my main scrapping subjects are my kids, but I love to scrap about other people as well, especially the relationships they have with each other. I love to journal, even though I hate my handwriting, I try to journal on most pages.

My greatest purchase in the latest 5 years would be my Canon 450D and taking the time to learn how to use it and now how to use PS to edit. It’s amazing how different my photos are and then my LOs.

I’m on the CT at Daring you to Scrap, Beyond the Door and Challenge Heaven. I also run Scrap the Girls and am on the DT at Scrapbooking from Scratch and was previously on the DT at Bonsscraps.

I've been published in Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbooking Creations and Creating Keepsakes. I was awarded an Honourable Mention in the the Masters 2011.

A Challenge or two....

Hi There! Charmane here again!

Today I thought I would share a couple of layouts I have created for Blog Challenges that I am a Creative Team Member for...

I find these Challenges to really get my mojo flowing and to make me think and try different things on my pages...

This first one is for Stuck?! February 1st Sketch - I find sketches the easiest way to make a start on a layout - and having a sketch ensures that the page will be balanced and looking great :)

I have used the cute Lil Red Rocket brown spotty button here...

and also this adorable Lil Red Rocket "sweet" flag - I am loving these cute flags Shell has created!!!

This next one is for White With One for February - and as you can see it's White with Lemon!

So of course....

I had to include one of Shell's Lil Red Rocket Lemon Yellow spotty buttons to the page!

There was one more layout I want to share with you using a couple of Lil Red Rocket embellishments too...

I really love how this layout has turned out, and the Lil Red Rocket embellies were perfect additions to the page!

I have used another cute Lil Red Rocket flag - which I have used as part of my title.... and as you can see I have also used another one of my fave Lil Red Rocket embellies - the red spotty button...

Well.... I hope I have inspired you to use your Lil Red Rocket goodies and maybe even give a Blog Challenge a go too!!!

First up is one of our Christmas Traditions - the annual Christmas photo shoot ...

Just how cute are these Vintage Santa bottle tops?? I can't help but smile when I look at them :-) ... the while fabric doily tucked in there is LRR too ...

and this yummy twine ... perfect colours for Christmas!!

Hello there. Just thought Id post a LO I made using one of my favourite Red Gingham buttons.
I love to add a fabric button to a cluster of flowers or other embellishments.
They look great center stage or just peeking out from behind.

Turquoise Fabric Flower!

About myself: I am married to Dave with 2, supposedly, grown up kids, Kate 22 & Joel 19. I live in the Central West of NSW, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else :). I work part time at a busy rural medical practice, and when I'm not working, you can usually find me creating in my scrap room :). I've been scrapping for about 8 years....and I'm positively certain that I am totally addicted!

My Style: I don't know if I have a particular style, as it is always changing & evolving. All sorts of things help determine what style direction my layout is going to take....from my photos, to the products being used, and even the challenge or sketch that I might be participating in.

Thank you everyone for your awesome DT applications. Unfortunately we had SOOO many that I cant possibly respond to everyone individually.
It was a very tough decision and I feel terrible that I cant offer each and everyone of you a spot.
I truly appreciate the time and effort each one of you put into your applications, we were overwhelmed by all the amazing and talented scrappers that sent in applications.
The new DT has now been chosen and I will be introducing them soon.
We have decided to extend the DT so we will have 4 new DT members joining us.

It's not often that my layouts these days DON'T have a Lil Red Rocket Button {or two} or twine on it... and I think THIS layout would have to be my favourite layout that I've created lately using them!

Here I have used a gingham button from the BLUE MIXED BUTTONS...

and I have used the gorgeous spotty button & the Christmas twine {from the Christmas sale!}

Here's another couple of layouts I have created last month using LRR...

I'vee been creating with some gorgeous Lil' Red Rocket products lately. This denim flower is totally adorable and teamed with a pink check button, it matched the colours in my photos perfectly! I layered one of the book paper doilies underneath as well to add a little more interest to the page.

I just love the girly feel to this page!

WE WANT YOU TO JOIN OUR DESIGN TEAM!!

If you would like to join our design team please follow these instructions below to complete your application.
Unfortunately due to postage prices I can only except applicants from Australia.
This design team call is open to scrapbookers, card markers and mixed media artists.

All applicants must have a blog and be able to commit to a 6 month term.
You will be required to post 1-2 pages a month on the Lil' Red Rocket blog and also post about and plug LRR on your blog and Facebook when ever possible.
Other requirements may include completing a sketch challenge from time to time.

The successful applicant will receive enough free product to complete all projects required for their term plus extra and team discount on any purchases.

All you need to do is send us an email to lilredrocket@live.com.au with a link to your blog and tell us a little about yourself and your style.
Please include links to your 2 favourite projects on your blog.

Applications close midnight 23rd January. The new DT member will be announced here on the blog and on Facebook at the end of January and will start in February.

Hi all, Just popping in to let you know that today I added 3 new different sets of fabric flowers, 5 new sets of flags and 2 new ranges of bakers twine.

Yep that's right....BOTTLE TOPS!!!!
Ive had alot of requests for bottle tops since we stopped making them and so Ive decided to bring them back.
We will have all the old favourites including Mr Men and Little Miss designs and a few new ones you wont have seen yet.
These will be stocked as a regular item in the online shop and you will also be able to buy exclusive sets here from our blog sales. YAY!!!!
If you have any suggestions on what type of images you would like to see on bottle tops we would love to hear them.

I cant wait for you all to find your LRR parcels soon in your letter boxes and I'm equally excited to see how you use them.
Just before I go, unfortunately I have a few outstanding invoices that I am chasing up. All these people have been contacted but in case you have missed your emails, unless prior arrangements have been made I will unfortunately have to cancel your orders and re list your stock in the store if payment has not been made by 5.30 Monday afternoon.
Payment is due 48 hours after you receive your conformation email (as stated on the blog) unless you email me and make other arrangements.
I have extended it a week this time so I hope you understand.

Today its with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of Kim from our Design Team.
Kim is leaving us as a DT member and we will sincerely miss her gorgeous creations here on the blog.
We hope that Kim will be able to rejoin the team in the future when she is able and we wish her all the very best for her new endeavours.

Kim has been with LRR right from the very beginning so we are especially sad to say goodbye.

I have had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Kim on a number of occasions and she is a beautiful person and a very special friend.
Thank you so much Kim we will miss you at Team Rocket but, we look forward to keeping up with your beautiful and inspirational creations on your blog. XX

Hi there rocketeers. I just wanted to pop by and say a quick Hello and thanks to all our wonderful fans for being so patient with me.
I should just start by quickly explaining why there haven't been any sales for a while........... Unfortunately due to personal circumstances (which I wont bore you with now) our little family had to pack up and move interstate. It was all very sudden and unexpected. At this present time we are staying with family and its been too difficult to host a sale until we get back into our own house and back into our own routine.
I have new products which the awesome DT girls will be receiving really soon so you will be seeing a preview of whats on offer for the next sale and we will be hosting a sketch challenge that you can all play along with too and Ill let you know more about that later.
So this is just a little post to say I'm sorry and that I do really appreciate your continued support.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am very excited about my first ever post here at Lil Red Rocket! Usually being a typepad girl, please bare with me as I get used to Blogger!

Being my first post I would like to share a few of my layouts I have created using Lil Red Rocket buttons...

This layout is one of my most recent layouts using the fabulous Robot buttons - this was a really fun layout...

I kept it a space/robot kind of theme, and Chei mucking around like he was it turned out a bit crazy!

This layout I did recently using the button as my inspiration for the title....

The button was the perfect touch to the page!

The next layout is "bake" and the cute Cupcake buttons are perfect for a kitchen themed page of course!!!

I used them both in clusters of other cute embellies....

As you can see from my layouts I love to mix it up with lots of different embellishments, and I think adding Shell's LRR buttons really makes it special and unique!

I hope you like my layouts and are inspired to get out your LRR buttons on your next layout!

I've used one on this page about a very special dairy-free Easter bunny.

The perfect bunny:

My daughter has lots of food allergies. She is used to not eating what other people eat and often asks if she's 'allowed' to eat certain things. So, a dairy-free Easter bunny turning up on Easter morning was a HUGE surprise! I wonder how the Easter bunny knew???

This sweet little poodle Little Red Rocket button has been sitting in my stash waiting for that perfect girly page. Even though I have two little girls, I find I always seem to lean towards scrapping more grungy inspired pages.

I knew this button would go perfectly with this soft and fun girly page of my youngest playing with her Piggy!

Teamed with some brads and a few little flower rubons, it made the perfect main embellishment!

She has just started learning to count but so far she has only got, "Two Four Two Four"! It's very cute though!

Ah ... the beach!! A bit too chilly for the beach now sadly enough, but I'm still loving to scrap beach pics :-)

Here's a close up of the sweet little button ...
I love that Shell's buttons already have a foam dot on the back - all ready to peel and stick to your creation. It's also perfect for sliding decorative pins behind, into the foam - like I've done here:

I created this page for a challenge last month and wanted to make it very bright with lots of colour. These Lil' Red Rocket fabric buttons added the perfect mix of boy and girl to my page!

A bit of boy - a blue spotty button of course!

and a touch of girl - a pink flower button!

Throw them both together and what do you get? A perfect mix of Boy VS Girl all in one page!

By now I'm sure you are all receiving some yummy goodies from the sale. We'd love to see some layouts uploaded on the Lil' Red Rocket facebook page!

Im busy packing and posting orders again today. Id like to try and get as many as possible LRR parcels to their new owners before Easter.

I always wrapped my Esty customers parcels up like this so I thought it was good enough for my blog customers too.

I personally love to receive a special pretty looking little parcel in the post. To me, it makes it feel like my birthday so, this is what you might find in your letter box soon if you made a purchase.

Before we start Ill just explain a little about how things work.......

Take a little look at what we have available. If youre interested in placing an order make your self a list and email it to me (Shell) at lilredrocket@live.com.au

Please be sure to include in your email your full name and postal address.

I will send you a reply email with a an invoice inclusive of all product and postage charges along with payment details.

You can choose between paying by direct deposit or paypal.

Once payment has cleared I will post your order by standard Australia Post to your nominated postal address.

The backs of our buttons look like this

They come with foam tape applied. All ready for to to just peal and stick to your project.

Please be aware that stock numbers are limited and if an item you've requested has already sold out I will advise you by email and also update here on the blog.

Please be aware that picture buttons shown here are an example of what you could receive. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the exact buttons pictured here but, all images are cut from the same fabric and they are all equally as cute.

Lets start with the extra large buttons. Extra large buttons measure approx 1 1/2 inches in diameter and come complete with adhesive foam tape adhered to the back so you can just pop it straight onto your project.
These buttons, due to their size and sweet images make quite a statement on your card or lay out!

Next up we have the medium size buttons Medium buttons measure approx 23mm in diameter and come complete with adhesive foam tape adhered to the back so you can just pop it straight onto your project.
Images may differ from the ones pictured but they are all super cute and cut from the same fabric.

Now for some fabric flowers. All flowers measure a minimum of 2 inches in diameter.

Now for the bottle tops. Lil Red Rocket bottle tops measure approximately just under 1 1/2 inches, they have a flatter profile than regular bottle tops and are also flat on the back so they can be easily applied to your creation using double sided tape or glue.

1 1/2 inches and can easily be adhered to your projects using glue or double sided tape.

I love that LRR buttons and bottlecaps are so versatile and can add just a simple touch to finish off a layout nicely. Here I have used a car bottle top with khaki tones, I thought it matched my layout perfecly!I simply laid it over at circle I punched from pattern paper. EASY!

Today Id like to introduce you to our 5th and final member of the Design Team..........

The very lovely and extremely talented Charmane Koch.

I think her awesome style is the perfect fit for Lil' Red Rocket and Im sure you will be inspired by her amazing creations as much as I am.

My name is Charmane Koch, and I have been scrapbooking since May 2004, a couple of months after my son Chei was born. Since then, I haven't stopped! There's not a day that goes by that I don't do something related to scrapbooking {or think about it!}

After living in Melbourne for the past 15 years or so, I have recently moved to South Australia, with my partner and 3 children, Chei {7}, Harmony {5} and Ryarne {18 months} to be closer to my family and give the kids a new way of living. My partner Ashan, got into Photography around the same time as my scrapping, so we both have similarly related passions!

In the years that I have been scrapping, I have been on numerous Design Teams, , published numerous times in Aussie mags such as Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations & For Keeps {when it was around!}. I have also taught online classes from 2006, which has been rewarding and challenging too!

I am so stoked to be on the Little Red Rocket Team, as it really matches my style. I'm always looking for something different to add to my pages, and Shell's gorgeous buttons and bit & pieces are the perfect way to finish them off! My style changes from time to time, but at the moment I am loving paint, stitching, distressing - I also love handmade items - they are definitely a must on my pages!

WOW, my first DT post here! So exciting! I am over the moon to be on this fabulous Lil' Red Rocket team, I can't tell you how honoured and excited I am :-). I'm still pinching myself really! I have always absolutely adored Shell's Lil' Red Rocket creations and judging by the sneaks - they are just getting better and more gorgeous :-) (if that's possible!!!)

Anyway, on to my latest creation ...

You'll see I've used 3 of the sweet little paper doilies down the left hand side (these will be in the next sale!!!)

And this gorgeous little girl button (I've layered it on chipboard to make it really stand out) - how perfect was this button for this page!!!???

Genuine vintage mini playing cards. Half the size of a regular playing card. So cute. Ill be sad to say good bye to this lot, they are extremely rare but, I know they will find good homes. LOL.

Genuine vintage soft drink labels sold in sets of 4. These will all be available in the sale next Friday. Also very hard to find. Im lucky enough to know a local lady who sells them to me.

And these little sweeties. The DT girls love these little doilies. Much smaller than the regular ones you find in the shops. Check out Kims LO HERE for an idea of the size for the smallest one. These will be sold in sets of 20 and you will receive all 3 designs in the pack. TFL x

A bit about us!

Just thought you might like to get to know Lil Red Rocket a bit better LOL. So here goes.

Lil' Red Rocket was created by Yours Truly (SHELL) way back in October 2009. Yikes doesn't time fly when your having fun.
I am a compulsive crafter but mostly Scrapbooker and one day I was looking for something fresh and unique to spice up my layouts. Buttons have always been a go to embellishment for me but I was looking for some thing just a little bit different.
Thats when it hit me. Fabric buttons have such unique and interesting patterns and colours and add great dimension. No one was making them specifically for scrapbooking and so Lil Red Rocket was born.
Choosing a name wasn't difficult as my almost 3 year old son had not long received his very first bike as a gift from his grand parents.
It was red and in his words it goes 'FAST FAST!' so it was nick named the Little Red Rocket.

This seemed like the perfect name for my shop.
We started out as a successful Etsy store doing mostly custom orders until recently when I decided to change things up a bit.
Still the same unique, quality products that people have come to expect from us, just sold primarily from our bright and funky blog!
I believe that we are the original and the best and even though some of our competitors regularly copy Lil Red Rockets designs, our originality and fine craftsmanship always set us out above the rest!
Im a one woman show and make all my products personally its a lot of work but, its a labour of love.
My favourite thing about Lil Red Rocket is to see people enjoying our products and creating beautiful layouts and cards as keep sakes for their own treasured families. This and the fabulous compliments we receive from our wonderful customers makes all the hard work worth while.
So now you know us a little better. Thanks for taking the time to find out.
I hope our products help you reach for the stars and create some thing out of this world.

These are new to Lil Red Rocket and just one of the so far 3 colour varieties we have. I call them stacked rounds and they look just DEVINE stuck to your LO or cards using foam tape!

When Kim, Leanne and I saw this delicious Air Mail bakers twine, we just knew it was a must for the shop. So different and fabulous!!

the sweetest...

Addison has a sweet little friendship with Kate, he just adores her and when ever they play together they have a fabulous time.

I wanted to document this sweet relationship.I have used one of LRR's apple buttons. I simply layered it over a piece of chipboard and glued it on with silicone glue. Quick and simple but just adds a sweet little touch to my layout.I have also added a lovely paper doily that I know will be on sale next Friday 15th May.

With all the new changes happening around here at Lil' Red Rocket we decided that it was time to welcome a few new faces to our team.
So, today I have the pleasure of introducing you to two very talented ladies and the newest members of our Lil Rocket family. Crystal and Chloe.

Hey all, I’m Crystal Goulding (though you may know me as Bowman but I've recently married!) and I currently live in Ipswich, QLD. I am lucky to have three beautiful children who are definitely not camera shy, perfect for a scrapaholic like me!

I have only been Scrapbooking for about 2.5 years but have been lucky to be published in both Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations, as well as being part of a few Creative/Design Teams. You could describe my style as minimal, with lots of bright colour, paint and a “must have” for me, doodling! I hope that I can inspire you all with Lil' Red Rockets amazing creations!

Hi there, my name is Chloe Nielsen and I live in Queensland, Australia with my husband and 2 children. I have been scrapping for 7 years now, but only seriously for 4. (Having children means so many pics to scrap!!) Scrapping for me is my creative outlet, my stress relief and a perfect way to record our precious family memories. I find it hard to define my style, I'm not even sure I have one, but I guess you could say most of my pages are clean and simple with the odd non-scrappy item added. You may think my boys are obsessed with Cowboys if my recent posts are anything to go by, but its all coincidental really LOL!

I have used the last of my Little Red Rocket cowboy bottle tops to accentuate the cowboy topic of larsen dressed as a cowboy last halloween! I have layered it over some bling for something different!

For halloween this year Addison wanted to make some alien eyes just like Mr Maker, what a cutie he was. For this layout I have used one of lilred rockets blue spotty buttons, available in the boys pack.

look out for some gorgeous new designs from Shell early in the new year.

While trying to teach my son how to correctly form his letters, he promptly told me "your not the teacher" Yikes that hurt. I have used one of LRR's witch bottle top buttons on my layout...hope he doesnt think that s me LOL!

We really appreciate the time and effort that went into creating such beautiful LOs and I can tell you, we really had a very difficult time picking the winners.
