HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

October is here and so that means............................its our 1st Birthday YAAAAAYYY!

Im so excited to have reached the 1 year mark with our little shop that I thought we might have a sketch challenge to celebrate.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to design sketches so here's a little something I whipped up for our challenge.
I think the best thing about sketches are the different ways that people can interpret them and so Id love to see what you can do with this sketch.

As you will see below all the DT have had a go at this sketch, including our AWESOMLY talented guest DT, the lovely Chloe Nielsen.
So lets take a look at out teams LOs.

First we have this awesome as always LO by KIM.

and this Beautiful creation is by LEANNE.

And cause shes super clever a second, just as fabulous LO by LEANNE.

This ones by yours truly. SHELL.

and last but definitely not least is this gorgeous page by the AMAZINGLY talented CHLOE.
It even fits in with the 1st birthday theme. What could be more perfect.

So here's the deal.
I would love you to play along and create a LO using the above sketch for inspiration.
You can do anything you like with the sketch its completely up to your own interpretation.
There are no other special requirements other than to post your completed LO on your blog and to link it up here using the Simply Linked thingy below.
The closing date for entries will be October 30.
The DT and I will choose a winner and 2 runners up.
The winner will receive a $25.00 voucher to spend in the Lil' Red Rocket store + a little goodies bag
The runners up will get one button pack of their choice, vintage milk tops + little goodie bags.

I hope you will find the time to play along and help us celebrate our first birthday.
We cant wait to see your gorgeous pages. Just add the link to your post by adding it to the
Simply Linked gadget below.

Don't forget Lil red rocket is sponsoring Scrap the boys this month...the theme is using metal on your layout, I have also used this layout for this challenge too ...If you would love to win some lil red rocket goodies be sure to join in the fun!!!

Anther layout by Leanne

Good afternoon everyone..
i just thought I'd share a layout that i created yesterday.. the spring feeling in the air.. {not really was raining.lol}.. but i have had this pic since last year at our carnival time so it was definately crying out to be scrapped..

so i mixed... a Brown funky FLoral, a Red Spotty and a Green polka dot from the sweet cherry mix together with some prima and d-lish scraps flowers and a hand made vine.. and what a sweet combo it ended up...

oh i should also mention that the wonderful Shell also gave me the little doiley and the bunny card.. isnt she the sweetest....

Thanks for looking.. hope all is well..
and

Inspiration from Kim and some myths and facts cleared up.

Here's another Gorgeous LO by KIM.
Kim has used a 1 1/2 inch street sign button and a medium red gingham button which comes in a set of 2 with the red apple buttons.
Thanks for sharing with us Kim it is AWESOME as always.
Under the street sign you may also notice a small paper doily. These little doilies are so sweet and measure just 9cm. Doilies this small are rare and incredibly hard to find, thats why I bought 750 of them LOL.
I love these little doilies not just because of their cute size but because they have a star pattern so they are perfect for boy or girl LOs.
So for the next little while you will be receiving a few of these along with some other cool stuff in your Thank You goody bags, which I include for any orders over $5.00 before postage.

OK on to the Myths and Facts. Some of you may find this part of the post a little boring but for others it may clear some unanswered questions up.
I get asked questions about Etsy and Pay pal alot so I thought Id take some time to answer the most frequently asked questions.

Q1. How do I purchase things on Etsy without Paypal.
A. Well unfortunately you cant, unless you contact the seller directly and ask if they accept direct deposit into their bank account.

Q2.Do I need a credit card to use Paypal
A. Well the good news is NO. You can set up Paypal to debit straight from your bank account. YAY! and the seller will never know your personal account details as the transaction is handled by Paypal.

Q3. Does it cost me anything to use Paypal.
A. More good news NO. The fees are charged to the seller.

Q4.Why is Etsy all in US dollars.
A. Well its not anymore you can now shop in AU dollars which takes all the guess work out of it.

I hope that has cleared up some of the questions that you may have about Etsy and Paypal and I hope it encourages you to have a go at Esty shopping because there is sooooo much yummy shopping to be found there so to end here's a few of my favourite sellers.
but thats just a small selection of the awesome shops on Etsy where you can get the best stuff for your scrapbooking so if you get a chance, why not check them out but be warned Etsy shopping is seriously addictive. TFL.
